A - Youth Fair Crafts

Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $4, 3rd: $2

Sections:

1.

Share the oldest toy your family has.

Will be judged solely on age and condition.

2.

Art - create a watercolour on canvas no larger than 8" x 10" depicting "Cows Just Wanna Have Fun"

3.

Getcher Song on

Create parody lyrics using this years fair theme to the tune of Cindy Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".
Judged on creativity. Present on letter sized paper.

4.

On an embroidery hoop no larger than 12" in diameter, show examples of 5 different embroidery stitches.

Judged on accuracy.

5.

Painted Barn Quilt

Paint a family quilt on a wooden plank no larger than 12"x12"

6.

Rock Dot Art - one rock no larger than 4" in diameter

Create a crib sized fleece tie quilt to be donated to the Children's Hospital.

Caption must be your exhibitor number for anonymity during judging and must include #thorndaleyouthfair2024

Create an iMovie trailer to advertise the Thorndale Fair using this year's theme "Cows Just Wanna Have Fun"

Submit through YouTube – create channel using your exhibitor # as your display name for anonymity during judging (or temporarily change existing channel to your exhibitor #)
Channel MUST be public from Sept 20-22 inclusive for judging/sharing
IMPORTANT: Must be emailed to thorndaleyouthfair@gmail.com by Friday, September 20 at 10am for judging

Tie Dye - Open Class - The only requirement is to tie dye a white t-shirt.

An original Lego Creation - no larger than 30cm x 30cm x 20cm high - No kits
